Quickie: Be Back In Adelaide

- The longest journey is to get from your head to your heart, - says a cute Vietnamese girl on a Friday morning, after I have just spent my first night in Adelaide Youth Hostels Association backpackers. She invites me to take the trip from Adelaide to Melbourne together with her on next Tuesday evening. We later exchange phone numbers and the following conversation on our way to Melbourne:
- Do you know, how long do cats live? - she asks.
- 15 to 20 years, - I say with confindence.
- Do you know that the oldest cat has lived 32-33 years? I read it in a newspaper. How long does dog live?
- Must be less. 12 – 15 years, maybe.
- And chicken? How long does chicken live?
- Not much. A year, tops, before it gets killed.
- What if left unkilled? - Vietnamiese is persistent.
Adelaide took me only four days to complete, and I'll return here to finish the story. I'll be back.
